Have you ever noticed that anytime you leave the urban jungle for a dose of nature, whether it be a hike in the mountains, a day at the beach, or a weekend in the countryside, you return feeling refreshed, recharged and ready to take on the world again? This is because our environment impacts us more than we often realize. Studies have shown that exposure to nature can reduce stress, anger and fear, while improving both our mental and physical state. In addition, exercise has been proven to increase brain function and to calm stress. Based on all this, we think the best thing for both our bodies and our minds is to combine exercise with the great outdoors.
The ocean is our happy place, and we love being in and on the water, whether it's a lake, river or pool. Just like the author known as Isak Dinesen, we believe the sea and sweat have healing powers, so why not combine the two for twice the benefits? Stand up paddleboarding and SUP yoga are the best ways we know of to have fun while getting a great full-body workout on the water.
