Sandy beaches, views of Mt. Fuji, delicious seafood, and plenty of culture.

Only an hour from central Tokyo and easily accessible via many train lines is the Shonan beach region. At the heart of the area and just off its coast lies the island of Enoshima, easily recognizable by its distinctive Sea Candle lighthouse. Also on the island are a shinto shrine, a beautiful western-style garden, caves, a Buddhist temple, a popular hot spring spa, and lots of shops and restaurants selling local specialities and souvenirs. It's a fun place to explore and unwind after a SUP or SUP yoga class at the nearby beach on the mainland. 

Enoshima classes with Taka Slide surf shop take place at the east side of Enoshima beach. The shop is just a two-minute walk from Koshigoe station on the Enoshima Dentetsu (Enoden) line, five minutes from Shonan Enoshima station on the Shonan Monorail, or eight minutes from Katase Enoshima station on the Odakyu line.
